The allure of Balmain's hooker clothes is hard to pin down. I love it as much as the next nerd, but c'mon ... aside from being totally unwearable and obviously trashy, what I really don't understand is how Decarnin and co. get away with charging $800 for a bloody snot rag like the one she's wearing.

CRONENBERG ODYSSEY
Assuming all of our amazing RM readers are still out there, somewhere, I must apologize for the lack of updates recently. Life can get in the way of blogging (regularly) but I promise to never leave you hanging again!
Aside from doing "life" shit, I've been catching up on some major David Cronenberg action. I had seen Videodrome, Existenz, Eastern Promises ... shoot, I'd even seen Dead Ringers! But the best of Cronenberg's sci-fi/horror oeuvre are his earliest films. If you haven't seen these, I strongly recommend you do:

NEWSWEEK: IN DEFENSE OF M.I.A.
I've been a hardcore M.I.A. since Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol. 1. I don't think there is another musician or band that better represents our web-obsessed generation, dubious political stances notwithstanding. Her third album /\/\/\Y/\ (did I spell that right? lol) has been panned universally, but I've heard the entire album and I'm not convinced that it is, in fact, shit. Neither is Newsweek. If you have heard the album, do you agree?
