JE T'AIME: ONLINE SHOPPING SPECIAL

Nothing will ever replace the full-on, tactile retail experience, but let's face it ... we love to shop online! Here are some of my favorite places to score on the web:

I've been an Obesity and Speed fan for some time now. In addition to their diffusion line NOTHINGSACRED for Urban Outfitters, the peeps at OAS run their namesake line out of NYC. Go here for hand-dyed, one-of-a-kind evil-looking t-shirts and more.

What more needs to be said of OAK? This is the first place I visit when I'm in the mood to drop some cash. Oak stocks Alexander Wang, Pleasure Principle, Rad Hourani ... again, what's not to love?

Luisa Via Roma carries ultra-luxe European and Asian labels like Balmain, Ann Demeulemeester and Rick Owens. While most everything here is usually way out of my price-range, they markdown merchandise each season (up to 60%). If they don't have it at Barneys New York, chances are good they will have it here.

The pioneering force behind online, designer "flash-sales," Gilt Groupe is a great place to find excellent deals on everything ... and I do mean everything: from Alexander McQueen and Rick Owens apparel to D.L. & Co. candles, Jonathan Adler housewares (even underwear, area rugs and swim trunks), Gilt will have it for a limited time at extremely-reduced prices.

Another online-boutique; stocks Acne, Ksubi (one of my favorite brands), Bess and Dior Homme to name a few.

The Farfetch.com homepage says it all: "40 European and US boutiques, 400 designers, 1 website." Stocks more affordable, cult-labels like Erin Wasson X RVCA and April 77 as well as high-end heavyweights like Balenciaga and Givenchy.

What this site lacks in user-friendly-ness (it's neither very pretty to look at nor easy to navigate), it makes up for in great designer pieces, often on sale. You'll find the usual roundup of luxury brands here (Lanvin, Costume National) but YOOX also boasts a "vintage" department; their current crop of vintage designer finds are inspired by Studio 54 and the prices are pretty reasonable (the Giorgio Armani top shown above can be yours for $225).

Yes, Revolve carries Ed Hardy ... but who cares when you can find great deals on trendier labels like Elizabeth and James, Cheap Monday and Jeffrey Campbell?

and last but not least ...

MY CLOSET

I need to unload a few things from my closet: a McQueen top, a Stella McCartney bag ... if you are interested in purchasing from me directly, kindly drop me a line!
