So, at one time in the not-so-distant past, Kanye West might have been considered a style icon. The "Louis Vuitton Don" has a penchant for name-dropping A-list designers in his lyrics, famously teamed up with the aforementioned LV for a line of ultra-luxe sneakers and "styled" his "girlfriend" Amber Rose for an Elle Magazine photo shoot. But judging from his questionable fashion sense (on full display at Paris Fashion Week, where he is a mainstay) and the conspicuous absence of his much-hyped debut design collection Pastelle, it seems Kanye's influence in matters of style has become something of a joke. It's not that Kanye has bad taste (he's frequently spotted in highly-coveted and edgy duds, as in the photo above; Lanvin shades, Goyard backpack, etc.), it's just that he doesn't know how to put it all together without looking, erm, ridiculous. Behold, for here are Kanye's latest missteps in personal style:

First of all, if he really cares for his girl Amber he will curb his svengali-like control issues and hire a REAL stylist for her. She looks straight up Y2K here ... the denim on denim, taupe bandeau and furry muffler are just wrong. This, friends, is how you make expensive things look tacky.

Fur is definitely in, and I can see that they did a quick outfit change whilst show hopping, but why not change the shoes while you're at it, too 'Ye? Timbs and and blue pumps from Payless are just not smart footwear for fashion week.
